Q: Are the materials used in class safe for children?
A: Yes! All sensory materials are freshly homemade from natural, taste-safe ingredients. Paints are washable and non-toxic but not edible, so we encourage no eating of supplies.
Q: How do I book a class?
A: Bookings are first-come, first-served, and fees must be paid in advance via buk.ie/109.
Q: Do you offer sibling discounts?
A: Yes, a €5 sibling discount is available.
Q: Can I cancel a booking?
A: Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the class start date.
Q: What if I cancel within 48 hours?
A: Unfortunately, cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows are non-refundable.
Q: What happens if a class is cancelled?
A: In the rare case of cancellations, Art Room 109 will notify you in advance. Rescheduling options will be provided.
Q: Can I transfer my booking to another term?
A: No, bookings must be used within the original term and cannot be transferred.
Q: Will photos or videos be taken during the class?
A: Yes, Art Room 109 may take photos or videos for promotional use. Images will focus on hands, back of heads, or artwork—never faces.
Q: Can I take photos of my child during class?
A: Absolutely! We love to seeing your actions shots of class. Please tag us on Instagram @art_room_109 Please respect other families’ privacy if sharing on social media.
Q: Who is responsible for my child during the class?
A: Parents must accompany and supervise their children throughout the session.
Q: What qualifications does the teacher have?
A: Kate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art, a First-Class Higher Diploma in Art, Craft and Design Education, Special Needs Education, Teaching Council-registered and Garda Vetted.
Q: What should my child wear?
A: Pre-loved clothes are best. Bring spare clothes and wet wipes. Aprons are provided. Paints are very washable but staining can occasionally occur.
Q: Do I need to bring anything with me?
A: Almost every week there is water play, so spare clothes and wet wipes are a must bring. Cosy socks or anti-slip socks are advisable as we all remove shoes for the class.
Q: What is expected of us in the shared venue space?
A: Respectful treatment of the shared venue is required as it a shared community space. The creative mess is contained within each art station and we model this behaviour to our little artist. Running is not allowed for health and safety.
Q: How many adults are allowed per child?
A: One adult per child to ensure a manageable group size.
Q: Do you offer private workshops?
