We recently had the pleasure of hosting Kate for an art workshop, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment she arrived, it was clear that she has a true passion for teaching and inspiring young minds. The children were completely engaged, and it was incredible to see their creativity come alive under her guidance. Not only did she make the session fun and interactive, but she also tailored the activities to suit each child’s individual abilities, which really helped boost their confidence and enthusiasm. The children absolutely loved what they created, and many of them couldn’t stop talking about it for days afterward! They were even given something to take home. Beyond her excellent organisational skills for the day, Kate was incredibly thoughtful in her approach. When the workshop was over, she made sure to leave the space spotless, showing a level of professionalism and respect that was much appreciated. We would highly recommend Kate to anyone looking for an art teacher who is not only talented at what she does but also genuinely cares about fostering creativity and providing a fun, creative, positive learning experience.

“The children in my class recently attended an art and sensory workshop by Kate at Art Room 109 and it was a fantastic experience! The workshop offered a wide variety of activities that kept the children engaged and entertained throughout. From tactile sensory play to creative art projects, every station was designed to spark imagination and curiosity. Kate did a wonderful job of encouraging the children to explore and express themselves, making sure each child felt comfortable and involved. The range of experiences was impressive—there was something for every little one, whether they preferred messy play or more structured activities. Overall, it was a fun, creative, and enriching experience for all children!”

“The workshop we attended with Art Room 109 was a fantastic experience for our pre-school children. It was well organised, engaging, and age appropriate. The activities were thoughtfully designed to stimulate creativity while encouraging sensory exploration. Kate was very warm, patient, and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere where all the children from Doorus Community Montessori felt supported.”

“As a full-time working Mom, I am delighted to be able to attend Kate's classes once a month. My daughter is 2 years old and loves all the different stations. There is a lovely atmosphere in the class and the children have the space to choose whichever station they like. I love the variety of activities and Kate strives to provide for every child's interest including painting, play dough, rice stations, reading, quiet corner, magnetic tiles and more. Every class ends with bubbles which is a great way to wind the children down and prepare them for the end of the class. We look forward to every session and it's lovely seeing the same children return.”

“I have attended several of Kate's play and create classes with my three-year-old daughter. We absolutely love them! Kate is a fantastic host and always has new and inventive play stations for us to try out! My little one is so excited before every class and I have seen such progress in her over the last year. Initially she was shy and needed to hold my hand all through class. Now she has her shoes off and apron on the minute we arrive and she throws herself into everything. Her confidence and creativity have grown so much. As a first-time mum, who is also an artist, I find the class such a great stress reliever as well. Especially the lavender play dough.”

“My 1.5-year-old had so much fun at Kate's class. He's very busy and curious so the range of different stations was perfect for him - he would have happily stayed on after the hour was up to keep messing and exploring! Kate creates a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the room - I would highly recommend trying a class.”

“We have been going to Art Room 109 now for approximately a year and it's amazing seeing how much my daughter has developed from our first class to now. The effort Kate puts into each class is just amazing. Kate is so passionate and simply a natural at what she does. Looking forward to our 2025 classes.“

“Kate's toddler class is the highlight of my 2-year-old son's week! We love the fact that every child gets to do so many different things at their own pace. We also get plenty of ideas to try at home, which keeps the little one entertained for long periods of time."

“Myself & my little girl (2) is delighted we were introduced to Art Room 109 in Clarinbridge. It’s a breath of fresh air for us both. The activities are so creative and fun for little ones & parents can chat away and watch the kids explore together. It’s a very chilled, relaxed class and super organised. Would highly recommend.“

"Isla loves art class; every morning she wakes up and asks if art class is on! It's great for her to independently explore and create, while I don't have to worry about the mess! Love it!"

“My little boy really enjoys the sensory elements and the freedom of the class structure; he can take his time to explore the different elements. As a parent, I love how interactive the class is and how he can get his hands dirty, but I don’t have to deal with the mess afterward! He now asks to go to the painting class every single morning; it's his new favourite activity."

“Art Room 109 is the highlight of my little girl’s week. She talks about it from the minute we leave until the minute we get in the car to go again! The class has been a great learning experience for her and has really helped her confidence experimenting with different textures and has helped build on her fine motor skills. She was always a little afraid to get messy or dirty and now absolutely loves getting stuck in. Each class is thoughtfully put together to help engage the little ones in a full range of sensory play and activities - from touch to smell, sight to sound - it’s all covered in each play station. There is something for absolutely every age group to get out of the class and whilst no class is the same, there’s lots of familiarity which definitely helps to keep the toddlers engaged whilst also preventing them from getting overwhelmed. Kate creates a wonderful, relaxed and calm environment for children to explore creativity in all its forms and it’s evident they all love to see her and love coming back to each class. I recommend it to any parent of a little one I come across!”
