What We Offer

CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

Play & Create (Ages 1–5)
Our parent and toddler, child-led classes offer an exciting, interactive environment where children (ages 1-5) independently engage in creative play. Each class includes up to 6 open-ended stations, as well as high-quality educational sensory play toys, encouraging fine motor skills, creativity, and social development. The familiar setup stays consistent for each class, but the activities, themes, and materials change for a new experience each week. DRESS FOR MESS always! These classes not only foster creativity in your child but also provide a space for parents to connect, unplug, and spend quality one-on-one time with your little ones.

Explore & Create (Ages 5–10)
This is a stay-and-play class, offering a great opportunity to see what kind of play your child enjoys and get ideas for creative play at home! It is similar to our toddler sessions but with more complex stations and STEAM activities - all the favourite sensory art play activities offered in our afterschool club.

Explore & Create Afterschool Club (Ages 5–12)
This class is a wonderful mix of teacher-guided and child-led activities. Our unique program at Doorus National School explores diverse artists, materials, and techniques, including Printmaking, Painting, Puppetry, Collage, Drawing, Textiles, and more! Our focus is on process over product and offering a space to explore, play and create learning through mindfulness art activities

Canvas Club & Printmaking Club (Ages 8+) Starting this summer! Watch this space.

SCHOOL WORKSHOPS

Experience a unique day of creativity, fun and learning through play with Art Room 109!

I bring a mobile art studio directly to your school, transforming classrooms or school halls into creative spaces for the day. My curriculum-aligned, child-led workshops are designed for primary school students (ages 4+), with adaptations available for preschools, secondary schools, ASC and TY students.

Workshops cover all strands of the Primary School Visual Arts Curriculum, including Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Clay, 3D Construction, Collage, Weaving, STEAM, and Sensory Play.

  • With up to 8 open-ended art stations, sessions are inclusive of all learning styles and educational needs. The focus is on play-based learning and the development of social and creative skills. To support teachers, each workshop includes a visual arts curriculum pack with:

  • Detailed lesson plans aligned with the curriculum

  • Sensory-based activity recipes

  • A materials list with discount codes from Irish suppliers

Workshop Options:

  1. Sensory Art Play (Ages 1+) – Child-led sensory exploration and creative expression, ideal for Junior and Senior Infants. More complex activities included for older ager groups

  2. Process Art Printmaking (Ages 8+) – a child-led workshop exploring four different types of printmaking techniques.

  3. Zentangle Workshop (6th Class) – A drawing workshop promoting mindfulness and creativity, offered as a one-off or extended program which incorporates an engaging STEAM cardboard construction project using Makedo Tools.
